Fiberlock IAQ 7500 HVAC Sealant is a high-performance, penetrating coating specifically formulated to seal and protect HVAC duct insulation and internal surfaces. Manufactured from premium acrylic resins, this durable and flexible coating enhances system efficiency by increasing airflow while minimizing the accumulation of dirt and debris inside ductwork. IAQ 7500 is designed for use on a wide range of HVAC materials, including faced and unfaced fiberglass duct liner, fiberglass duct board insulation, and unlined sheet metal ducts. In addition to sealing insulation surfaces, it can also be used as a post-cleaning lockdown coating to encapsulate residual particulates such as fiberglass fibers, dust, and other inanimate contaminants. This helps improve indoor air quality and maintain cleaner system operation over time.
The formula incorporates a fungistatic agent that resists mold growth on the dried coating surface, providing an added level of protection in environments where moisture and microbial growth are concerns. IAQ 7500 has been tested to meet industry standards, including ASTM E84 Class A fire rating and compliance with NFPA 90A/90B requirements, making it suitable for use in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
Application is straightforward and can be performed using brush, roller, or airless spray equipment. The coating dries to the touch in approximately 1–2 hours and can be recoated within 8–16 hours, depending on conditions.
