IAQ 8500 is also well-suited for sealing unlined ductwork prior to component removal, helping to lock down fiberglass and other inanimate particulates to prevent them from becoming airborne. Once cured, the coating forms a semi-gloss, moisture-resistant finish that helps minimize dirt accumulation and maintain cleaner system operation over time.

The product has been tested to meet key industry standards, including ASTM C-411 for hot surface performance and ASTM E84 Class A fire rating, as well as NFPA 90A/90B requirements. The coating dries to the touch in approximately 1–2 hours and can be recoated within 4–8 hours, depending on conditions.
