Foster 32-22 Protektor Clear Sealant is a professional-grade, water-based encapsulation coating engineered to control asbestos fiber release through deep penetration and binding of asbestos-containing materials (ACM). This acrylic copolymer formulation penetrates into the matrix of fibrous and cementitious materials, then cures to form a firm, lightweight, and damage-resistant surface that helps prevent fiber fallout.

Designed for versatility, Protektor Sealant can be used both as a penetrating encapsulant during abatement and as a post-removal residual encapsulant (lockdown) to secure any remaining fibers. When applied as an encapsulant, the product is applied in multiple passes to achieve full saturation, ensuring thorough penetration into the substrate. For post-removal applications, it is applied directly to exposed surfaces to create a protective seal that helps maintain air quality and reduce recontamination risks.

The coating is suitable for a variety of asbestos-containing materials and can be applied using airless spray equipment for efficient and consistent coverage. Its low viscosity allows for deep penetration, while its cured film provides durability and long-term performance. It meets NFPA 90A and 90B requirements and has been tested and deemed acceptable for asbestos encapsulation applications under EPA-related evaluations.
