The Zefon Bio-Tape™ Sampling Slides provide a simple, standardized method for determining possible mold, microbial, bioaerosol, and inorganic dust contamination on surfaces. Designed for quick sample collection and evaluation of the relative degree of contamination, Bio-Tape™ is especially useful when testing valuable or non-transportable materials and is highly effective on smooth areas of concern.

Each Bio-Tape™ sampler consists of a flexible plastic microscope slide with a predefined adhesive area for consistent surface sampling. A center-line marker helps users position the adhesive over the desired sampling location and assists laboratory analysts in locating the center of the collected sample. Each slide is individually serialized for traceability and packaged in a protective slide mailer to help prevent cross-contamination during handling and transport.

Bio-Tape™ provides easier handling than conventional tape sampling methods while helping eliminate problems associated with placing tape samples in bags or transporting breakable glass slides. The standardized format also requires less laboratory preparation time and provides improved sample consistency and uniformity.

Bio-Tape™ samples are compatible with both optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). This allows optical and SEM analysis, along with X-ray analysis, to be performed on the same surface sample and particles. Designed for mold and bioaerosol surface sampling applications, Zefon Bio-Tape™ Slides provide a convenient solution for sample collection, identification, transport, and laboratory analysis.
