The Protimeter MMS3 (BLD9800) is an advanced moisture measurement system engineered to deliver complete building diagnostics in a single, portable device. Its innovative 4-in-1 design integrates pin moisture measurement, non-invasive moisture detection, hygrometry, and infrared surface temperature measurement, allowing professionals to assess both structural moisture and indoor environmental conditions with precision.
In pin mode, the MMS3 provides accurate moisture content readings for materials such as wood, drywall, and masonry, helping diagnose the extent of moisture intrusion and monitor drying progress. The non-invasive search mode uses radio frequency technology to detect moisture up to 5 inches below the surface without causing damage, making it ideal for scanning behind finishes and flooring. This mode is not adversely affected by surface moisture, improving reliability in real-world conditions.
The hygrometry function measures relative humidity, temperature, dew point, and other psychrometric data, enabling users to evaluate air quality and conditions that may lead to mold growth. Additionally, the built-in infrared (IR) thermometer with laser pointer allows for quick surface temperature readings and condensation risk assessment.
For documentation and reporting, the MMS3 features wireless connectivity and data logging capabilities, storing up to 10,000 readings with date and time stamps. Data can be viewed, exported, or integrated with images through the Protimeter app or PC software.
