ProRestore Surface Shield is a new class of penetrating barrier that blocks the nutrients that promote mold and mildew growth from reaching a material’s surface. Both use a patented technology that provides a moisture- resistant, breathable coating for water damage applications. It is sand-able and colorless and highly resistant to water damage. Used as the final step on remediation jobs or in new construction, it protects against damage and staining from mold and mildew. Ideal for a variety of porous surfaces including wood, concrete, paper, drywall and more. Available in clear or white-tint and adds protection against future water damage and staining from mold and mildew that does not blister or peel.nnAPPLICATIONS: SurfaceShield and SurfaceShield Plus can be applied to building materials with a moisture content of 11%–30%.n»nTREAT POROUS INTERIOR SURFACES, such as OSB, plywood, other engineered wood products, brick, and wallboard. Do not over apply to load bearing I-joists with OSB webbing.n»nMaterials with visible fungal contamination or water staining should be HEPA vacuumed and cleaned or removed first according to industry standards, then apply SURFACESHIELD.nnDIRECTIONS: Stir thoroughly then apply as final step in the mold stain removal process. Do not mix or use any other products with Surface Shield. Apply at the rate of 250–1,000 sq ft per gallon (6–24 square meters/liter) depending on surface porosity, using an airless sprayer, brush or paint roller. If using airless sprayer, avoid atomizing the solution by using a tip with no smaller than a .015 orifice.nn
