Foster 32-32 Bridging Encapsulant is a professional-grade, high-build coating specifically engineered to encapsulate friable asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in interior environments. This water-based, elastomeric formulation creates a continuous, flexible film that bridges over asbestos fibers, effectively sealing the surface and reducing the risk of fiber release into the air.

Unlike penetrating encapsulants, 32-32 is designed to form a durable surface membrane, making it particularly effective for non-porous or previously coated materials that do not readily absorb liquids. It can be applied to a variety of substrates, including fibrous insulation, cementitious materials, and previously painted surfaces. This versatility allows it to be used across a wide range of abatement and maintenance applications.

The coating is typically applied using airless spray equipment or brush and is built up in multiple coats to achieve the recommended dry film thickness. When properly applied, it forms a tough, resilient barrier that helps prevent the fallout of friable asbestos fibers.
