The Airbotx 390X pulls in air from the surrounding environment, which first passes through MERV 8 and HEPA filters to capture airborne particles like dust, dander, mold spores, and pollen. Once filtered, the air enters a chamber containing four UV-C lamps before being released back into the space.

The unit utilizes dual UV-C wavelengths—185 nm and 254 nm. The 185 nm wavelength generates ozone, which is then broken down by the 254 nm wavelength, resulting in the creation of hydroxyl radicals and other potent oxidants. These reactive molecules are released into the air to neutralize odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), while also treating odors embedded in surfaces and materials.

Although most ozone produced within the Airbotx 390X is neutralized before being released, it’s important to monitor ozone levels and follow the operating guidelines, especially when used in occupied spaces.
